Northwestern California Cultures

Including the Hupa (HOO•puh), Shasta, and Yurok people. The Hupa lived in the Hoopa Valley along the Trinity River.  The Shasta lived along the upper Klamath River in the northernmost part of California.  The Yurok lived along the lower Klamath River on the Pacific Coast of northwestern California. Also includes Chilula, Chimariko, Eel River Tribes, Karuk, Lassik, Nongatl, Tolowa, Whilcut, and Wiyot people.
